Page 2 of 2 The memory of the Motorola V557 is just 5MB, which is rather low for a camera phone. Also, since the number of Screen3 channels you can subscribe to is limited by the available memory, we were hoping for more. Of the V557's other features, our only complaint would be with the VGA camera. We'd prefer a megapixel camera on a handset of this caliber, rather than a simple VGA lens. Also, the monochrome external display means it won't show photo caller ID. Outlook: As is the case with any other new cell phone, we expect that the Motorola V557 will go through a breaking-in period. Customers will need to acclimate themselves to the technology and pricing system before they jump in headfirst. And remember that the service will depend on the strength of Cingular's data network in a given area. But even with these qualifications, Screen3 is a welcome and useful technology, and we give it high marks. The smart-looking Motorola V557 should benefit greatly from the combination of Screen3 and its attractive list of other features. Motorola V557 Mobile Review
